Long-distance

expansion

The following figure outlines the long-distance expansion

configuration using the long-distance type expansion interface

modules (IF312 for basic unit, 1F352 for middle expansion unit

and IF353 for end expansion unit).

• Maximum total length of the expansion cables is 40m.

• Connect IN and OUT of the expansion cable. To prevent

mis-connection, a colored mark is attached on each

connector of the expansion cable and the module.

• The expansion cable must be separated as far as possible

from power cables and I/O wires.

• Use the IF353 on the end expansion unit for termination.
